At Gentle Journey, we understand that moving, life transitions, and asking for help can come with many questions. This page is here to help families, seniors, veterans, donors, and partners better understand how we operate, how assistance works, and how you can be part of the journey.
The Gentle Journey Foundation is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance and subsidized services for qualifying seniors and veterans through donations, grants, and community partnerships.
Gentle Journey LTD. is a separate for-hire service corporation that performs the professional moving, logistics, and relocation services.
We have been assisting families, seniors, and veterans since 2014, completing hundreds of relocations and transition services. The Gentle Journey Foundation was created to expand that mission and provide subsidized assistance to those in need.
Assistance may be available for:
Seniors (generally age 70+).
Military veterans.
Individuals with disabilities.
Families facing major life transitions.
Emergency or unexpected relocation situations.
Each application is reviewed individually based on need, circumstances, and available funding.
You may apply by clicking on the "Start the Journey" tab on our website homepage and completing the Assistance Application. Our review team evaluates each application and determines eligibility and level of assistance.
In some cases, the foundation fully sponsors the move.
In other cases, the foundation may subsidize a portion of the moving costs depending on available funding and the applicant’s situation.
Most applications are reviewed within 3–7 business days, though urgent situations may be reviewed sooner when possible.

Yes. Senior relocation and retirement community transitions are one of our primary specialties. We work regularly with assisted living communities, retirement homes, and senior housing communities.

Yes. We partner with retirement communities, senior living facilities, hospitals, real estate professionals, businesses, and community organizations to help support senior and veteran relocation and transportation programs.
